TOKENS AND WEIGHTS, 4th-6th centuries. Host coin a sestertius of Commodus, 177-192. Token (?) (Orichalcum, 28 mm, 14.32 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 184-189. [...]MODVS [...] BRIT Laureate head of Commodus to right. Rev. [...] / S - C Felicitas standing front, head to left, holding patera in her right hand and scepter in her left. Edge serrated. Somewhat smoothed and with some scratches, otherwise, good fine.

This object was made from a sestertius of Commodus. Deep indentations were filed into the edge of the coin, producing a cross-like shape. It is unusual among similar objects in size and weight and its use is unknown.
